DAS KIND IN DIR MUSS HEIMAT FINDEN 

Das Kind in dir muss Heimat finden (The child inside of you needs to find healing) named after the book written by Stefanie Stahl is the first part of a four-part series about childhood-(trauma) that was exhibited during Rundgang in Basisklasse Summer 2022. A wooden panel covered in stickers showing the artist as a child, looking like the Teletubbies sun. The stickers are based on the cover of a book, that her father, (Ferdinand Laholli) wrote, which is called Linda. 

The book was taken apart in the process and parts of it were being used for the artwork, like the black and white cutouts that are showing Linda during different times in her childhood, sometimes accompanied by her older brother. Also the original cover of Linda in color, the title, and a quote that reads ''Mos ki frikë!'' meaning don't be afraid! The book, in a way, reimagined. 

The Artwork is a homage to her father and also a plea to herself and many others to listen to your inner child and to reparent yourself. To forgive and to move on with a brighter inner dialogue, to appreciate your silly side. This artwork is trying to address a profound topic without wanting to make it really heavy, and it also being fun.
