TO NOT BE SWEPT UNDER A RUG 

TO NOT BE SWEPT UNDER A RUG, two carpets, 120 cm x 170cm

is a carpet installation that is the result of the artist's week long stay in Prishtina, Kosovë.

Growing up as a daughter of Albanian immigrants they didn’t talk about

uncomfortable topics or emotions.

This artwork serves as a thank you to the artists herself and to everyone who acknowledges

their wounds and sentiments and wants to bring them to the surface instead of

sweeping them under the rug. She also wants to acknowledge the collective pain of the

country Kosovë who fights so hard to been seen and understood.
